Hollinwood Hub Friend

Being a friend of Hollinwood Hub means you will be kept updated with what we’re up to and is a way for you to give your views, opinions and feedback on projects should you wish to do so. It’s a way of supporting us without having to be actively involved (if you don’t want to be) and helps us to show potential funders how much support we have. We will just send you out a regular update by email (unless you have more preferred method of contact)

Hollinwood Hub Volunteer

We are looking for members of the Hollinwood community and beyond who would like to volunteer with us on project and events such as our new Market or the Hollinwood Together Festival. Contact us with your details and we will let you know when opportunities arise.

Hollinwood Hub Community Champions

We are looking to develop five community champion volunteer roles in our community. These individuals would represent our community and each of our theme objectives. We are keen to hear from Hollinwood residents who are enthusiastic about helping to improve our community. There is no set amount of time you need to commit although we would expect a minimum of four hours a month including attending our monthly meeting. You would be supported by our co-ordinator and other partners in the area and receive any help and training you might want or need. The roles would provide great work experience for someone looking to gain employment now or in the future. However we would love to hear from anyone who would like to know more about being involved.

Community Engagement Champion

We are looking for someone who could engage with our local community and help encourage uptake of activities and initiatives through word of mouth and other methods. You would try and help residents with confidence issues to become more actively involved in the community.

Hollinwood Hub Education/Training and Skills Champions

A training and Skills champion will encourage residents to take up training courses and improve their skills. They will engage with residents to determine training needs. They will liaise with local schools and Further Education establishments.

Hollinwood Hub Employment and Enterprise Champion

An employment and enterprise champion will try help and support residents to improve their financial well-being. You may be involved in promoting initiatives or helping out at projects or engaging with residents.

Hollinwood Hub Youth Champion

This role would be most suited to a younger member of your community although they would need to be 18+. You would support and represent young people in our area to raise their aspirations, and become involved and engaged in their local community. This may include supporting activities promoting volunteering and delivering awareness raising projects and campaigns.

Hollinwood Hub Health Champion

A health champion would like to assist the community of Hollinwood to improve their health. Someone who has a keen interest in health matters who with training and support could help promote initiatives that enables and encourages residents to lead healthy lifestyles, including promoting healthy eating, community sport and leisure activities and signposting those with more complex health issues.
